Wilson & Morgan is a Malawian legal firm established and registered as a partnership in 1947. Seventy-seven years and five successions later, it remains one of the country’s longest-standing law practices.

Three founding partners, and a firm that never closed
Wilson and Morgan is a Malawian legal firm. It was established and registered as a partnership in 1947 by Henry Bertram Wilson, William David Morgan, and Michael Hill Blackwood as founding partners.
Mr Wilson died in 1948. The firm continued with the two surviving partners, Mr Morgan and Mr Blackwood. Mr Morgan retired from the firm in 1953, and Mr Blackwood continued as sole proprietor until 1955, when Phillip Marcus Pitt MC, MBE was taken in as partner.
The firm has, therefore, been in continuous existence since 1947, and in that time has managed to establish a tradition of reliable and uncompromisingly competent service to its clientele and the public at large.

Firm Founded
Registered as a partnership by Henry Bertram Wilson, William David Morgan and Michael Hill Blackwood.
Mr. Wilson dies
The firm continues under the two surviving partners, Mr Morgan and Mr Blackwood.
Mr. Morgan retires
Mr Blackwood continues as sole proprietor.
Philip Marcus Pitt MC, MBE joins
Taken in as partner alongside Mr Blackwood.
Mr. Blackwood retires
Mr Pitt continues as sole proprietor.
Arthur Alick Msowoya joins
Taken in as partner of the firm
Mr. Pitt MC, retires
After more than five decades in practice.
Mr. Raval SC dies
In September 2015, while still in practice. Mr Msowoya continues as sole proprietor.
Fiskani Movete Nkhoma joins
Taken in as partner. Mr Msowoya and Mr Movete Nkhoma are the firm's current proprietors.

The firm is currently led by Arthur Alick Msowoya, Senior Partner with 27 years in practice, and Fiskani Movete Nkhoma, Managing Partner, who was taken in as partner in 2024. They are supported by associates Martha Nyambo and Memory Chitwanga.
Together they carry forward the same tradition established in 1947 — reliable, uncompromisingly competent service to clients and to the Malawian public at large.
